Adelphi – Tom Haller.

C: Alright. For the record, state your name & what you do in the band.
T: Tom Haller, I play the drums.

C: How did Adelphi form?
T: Adelphi formed way back when, before I was even in the band. Then I joined in February of 2003 and Kevin joined in February of 2004.
C: So you weren’t one of the original members?
T: Nope.

C: Where did the name Adelphi come from?
T: It’s a town in Maryland where the original band once played, and they liked the name.

C: What made you want to be in a band?
T: Well, I’ve always loved music, and it just looked like so much fun. I was at a ‘Can't Hang’ concert and I said to my friend, “GOD I WANT TO BE IN A BAND SO BAD”.

C: What is the best thing (in your opinion) about being in a band?
T: Just getting up on stage and playing, it’s such a rush. I love it… and being able to write music and have kids sing it back to you at shows. It’s great.

C: What bands are you currently listening to?
T: Muse, At the Drive In, Taking Back Sunday, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Rage Against the Machine, Reel Big Fish, Recover, New Found Glory… Many, many bands, I could list them all day… Saves the Day…
C: Have you heard Taking Back Sunday’s new CD yet? It’s awesome.
T: Yes I have, it’s awesome.

C: If you could choose any animal to be Adelphi’s mascot, what would you choose?
T: HOT DOG!
C: That’s more of a food than an animal, I would think. Unless you were thinking literally, like an actual heated puppy.
T: NO NO. Well, if it had to be so, I would go with a lion.

C: Can you describe each member of Adelphi in 3 words each?
T: Ryan: front man sexy ; Alex: Hitler nutty awesome ; Kevin: artistic the man.
C: How can someone be described as both 'Hitler' and 'awesome'? It just doesn’t make sense to me.
T: Well, he likes to be in control and thinks he’s always right, but he’s awesome and I love him to death.
C: Ok, I guess that works.

C: If you were stuck on a deserted island with no food and nothing but your band members, who would you eat first and why?
T: Probably Kevin, he’s got the most meat on him.

C: What’s your favorite song (and uh, who sings it)?
T: By us?
C: No, just in general.
T: Oh man, that’s a tough ass question. Right now I’d have to say it would be “Time Is Running Out” by Muse.

C: If you could have any superpower, what would it be and why?
T: Probably being able to fly. It would be freakin’ awesome to be able to fly anywhere you wanted to, all the time.

C: And last but not least, is there anything else you would like to share with the Internet world?
T: Listen to Jenoah and RX Bandits! They rule.
